Glow arrives on all platforms today! It’s a chunky 4x4 house roller and the title track off my forthcoming EP for High Praise. It’s got some heads down bits and a starry eyed breakdown.
I’ve had the bass part lying around for ages but wasn’t finding the right sound. At some point I sent it though a Vermona DDR which is a pretty basic analog board from the mid 80s. Mine is rarely all in tune at the same time and takes some encouragement to get going, but I loved the character of the octave jump switches, which cut out slightly and made it feel unpredictable and that little bit more alive.
A million different versions, mixes and arrangements, some thud-y kicks and ravey tambourines and here we are. Hope you rate it <3
